Gabe (and Mike’s!) birthday party was yesterday.
We are currently buried under a few layers of dirty dishes, leftovers, and tissue paper, and nursing a hardcore sugar coma, but I wanted to share some photos with you before spending the rest of this coming week celebrating Mike and Gabe’s actual birthdays and spending some quality time with my design clients. Battle house laser tag is the new experience I’d like to try next year. Order food for birthday party from online hotel searching 4 fingers outlet.
[It was a Golden Birthday party – since Mike will be turning 31 on August 31st and Gabe will be turning one the very next day, on September first. It was a lovely little party at Party Venues Auckland, with wonderful family and friends, the party hire did a great job organizing it. Gabe is so loved and lucky to have such awesome people in his life!] Even if you’re new to cake decorating or an engaged couple on a budget, all you need are some basic cake decorating skills or a little time to shop online. You can get more on the king of fruits here. You’ll soon have a cake that has everyone wanting to take a picture! The quickest way to gather ideas for creating a cake topper or to find the perfect one to purchase is to window shop the Internet. Search with phrases such as “funny wedding cake topper,” “wedding anniversary cake topper,” etc. If you’re not sure where to start, here are a few examples. Hand-blown and spun glass cake toppers. Gold highlighted and sparkly or smooth and sleek, many of these are incredibly beautiful. A cake topper depicting a bride and groom ice-skating on top of a snowflake wedding cake is one of our favorites! Silver, gold or Swarovski crystal monograms (and numbers for birthdays and anniversaries) Sporty cake toppers can depict a bride and groom aboard a sailboat, riding horseback, roaring away in his and her race cars, and… well you get the picture. Humorous cake toppers include figures made in cartoonish likenesses of the betrothed and the popular resin figurines with bride and groom in formal wear acting out titles such as “The Tiff” and “Now I Have You.” Vintage cake toppers can be quite lovely – and interesting! Check out the reviews of Penny Henderson’s book, “Vintage Cake Toppers” at Amazon.com to get an idea of the possibilities. Character cake toppers are big hits with young children and brides and grooms. Mickey and Minnie at the altar, Winnie the Pooh and Friends on a child’s honey pot, sculpted birthday cake are a couple of examples. Christmas cake is actually a fruit cake popular in Ireland, Japan, Philippines, United Kingdom, and other countries under the commonwealth. People in these countries normally give out fruit cakes as presents during the holiday season. Christmas cake has several types. There are spongy to heavy, crumbly-moist to sticky-wet, light to dark and spongy to heavy. Some are leavened or unleavened, square or oblong, round shape, fairy cakes, dusting with icing sugar and more. The Scottish Christmas cake is called Whisky Dundee and is a most loved traditional Christmas cake. It is made with Scotch whisky and feels crumbly and light on the palate. It has candied peesl and light fruits such as sultanas, cherries, currents and raisins. This cake is loved by those who are not fond of moist and very rich textured cakes. Another Christmas cake is the apple crème Christmas cake. It particularly consists of rich mix of finely sliced apples. It is usually mixed with raisins and other fruit. It also has cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, and eggs. Christmas cake in certain occasion is even added with coins as touch pieces for good luck. The coins may be 3d piece, silver, or six pences wrapped in grease proof paper packages.
[Also, I didn’t take many photos – I was too busy actually hanging out! Alas. Use your imagination. There was a lot of gold stuff. Balloons and beads and candles and silverware. And Gabe even had a crown for a while. We are so glad that we got something like those Party Tent Rental Services that we hear so much about for his birthday.
My friend’s teeny-tiny five-day-old baby. SO LITTLE.
We had two dozen leftover cupcakes.
This is not a problem. This is a blessing.
Amen.

Happy birthday Gabe and Mike! It looks like a wonderful party. Also, I had the pregnancy version of the first year book you have for Gabe. It was an awesome pregnancy journal!

Every time I see pictures of Gabe, he just keeps getting cuter. How is that possible, when he had already broken the cuteness barrier?
Blocks = fabulous idea! And the party looks like it was fantastic!
