I am a planning junkie.
I have tried literally a dozen to do list apps and websites.
I have bought personal planners (some cost way too much) (some I made myself).
I have read countless articles about planning your day/month/year/life.
I am also a goals enthusiast.
(You might already know this from my monthly goals.)
(Goals keep me on track and feeling like a Real Person Who Does Stuff on Purpose instead of a person who forgets that life is to be lived, not just survived.)
So when I found out a product that combines the planning with goal setting? I WAS HOOKED. Add in the fact that the design is minimalist and clean and I wanted one now.
I mean, yeah, it’s March, but it’s not too late to hang a giant calendar above my desk and start planning stuff like crazy.
Here is what I love about the NeuYear calendar:
- It’s pretty but functional – the design doesn’t overwhelm my wall and it emphasizes my deadlines and activities instead of how pretty it is.
- There are no gaps between months – when a month ends in the middle of week, it just starts the next month on the next day on the same line. SMART.
- I can see the whole year at once! I don’t have to page through my paper planner (or scroll through my Google Calendar) to see what’s happening in two months.
- The owner is super accessible and friendly.
- I have this one above my desk – I really like being able to use dry erase markers on it. Mostly because my handwriting is pretty pathetic and I like having the option of rewriting.
- It’s playful. I love when a company or product has a good sense of humor.
- It’s versatile: it can go horizontal or vertical and comes in coated and uncoated.
- The emphasis on goal-setting. Love love love this angle of the calendar. LOVE.
I hung my coated (dry erase) calendar vertically over my desk and Mike hung his (uncoated) calendar horizontally over his. Mine is full of design projects, his is full of meeting and school stuff.
(Our desks are a bit different in what’s on top of them, too. ;))

I think it’s genius that the months run into each other without those gaps! I’m a google calendar person myself but will definitely look into this option.

I love being able to see the entire year at a glance without having to flip pages. I am constantly writing things in my day planner, and then copying them onto my google calender, while also posting little sticky notes of what I need to do everywhere – would love to have this hanging on my wall!
K says
Love the whole keeping track of memories aspect!
Holly says
I use Google Calendar but have a lot of the same issue you mentioned. I’m old school and love paper. I would totally use this … as you said… even though it’s March. :)

Super cute. I’m actually in need for something like this at work … I’m in charge of our company’s marketing calendar and we’re trying to figure out how to best share it with others in the office … I’m a lover of calendars in which you can see the big picture all at once and I’m thinking this one would be perfect for my office!
Elizabeth Buergler says
I love the seamless transition between months and the GIANT-ness. Would love to use this as a “baby book”

I love wall calenders… big ones! I have one at work that I use a lot, but I’ve never tried it for my personal planning. I think there is something neat about having the whole year right in front of you and still enough space to plan/look over each month! I would totally use it! Bookmarked!

I love the idea of being able to look at the entire year at one time (and not have it looks like an ugly cubicle calendar). I hate when you’re trying to plan and you have to keep going back and forth between pages just to figure it out.
Like you, I have yet to find the perfect planner/calendar and would love to give this guy a try — especially since it’s working for you!
Jesabes says
I would love to have a dry-erase-able calendar!

I like that you can see the whole year at a glance. This is a year of weddings/showers/babies/work deadlines/more work deadlines… Seeing everything at once would be great.
Heather says
I love that I would be able to see the whole year at once, the beginning of most months is a little chaotic because I haven’t been able to see it on our regular calendar. Plus, I have a big space to hang a calendar right now but we only have a boring, small one. It would be great to hang something that fits the space better.
Stephanie M says
I LOVE calendars that let you see the full year at a glance like this. They’re SO great.
Kelly says
Very cool- I love that you can see the whole year! My only problem is I really need to carry my planner around haha because of tutoring and work and home things :) But, it’s definitely the best wall calendar I’ve ever seen!
Ashley // Our Little Apartment says
I plan to keep my phone for weekly/daily reference, but this will replace my paper calendar! :)
Natali says
Thank you for this! I can’t even wait for the raffle – I’ve wanted something like this for so long, I went ahead and used the promo code to order, I can’t wait to get it! :-)

YAY! I hope you like it. :)

Love the size of this! The clean design would be great – and I do totally love being able to see the entire year at a glance.
Tori says
What a great idea! I love how it flows from month to month and how it offers organization without the cold / personality-devoid feeling that many standard ones have. Love!
Emmie says
I like that it allows me to set goals for the entire year. It would be nice to be able to see the whole year at once. When I have exams and projects due weeks away it’s nice to know they are coming up.

I can’t find our 2013 calendar. We got one for xmas and I lost it. Soooo it’s March 2013 and our wall still says December 2012. And even when we had a current calendar, it would always take us extra long to change the months. It would be awesome to have the whole year in front of us. Maybe we would actually use it and keep track of things!
Jennifer says
The year at a glance! I don’t know if I have wallspace, but it looks awesome!

Love the layout. So pleasing!

First, I’d like to say that I absolutely love your blog! Next, I absolutely love this calendar! It fits my type A, structured, minimalist (wannabe;)) personality. I’m balancing trying to start a new career, applying for jobs left and right (I’ve applied for 93 jobs so far), pursuing my doctorate, and taking classes to boost my resume and skills. I think a calendar like this would be quite helpful in organizing job and school deadlines, job interviews, and academic/career/personal goals. Additionally, I love that I can write on the calendar with a dry-erase marker and how I can see the entire year all at once. I love how I can be as detail-oriented as needed in the boxes and then also see the “big picture.” Finally, I love the simple, fresh look. In sum, I’m a constant planner, so a big wall calendar like this would be wonderful to have!
Becca says
I love that the calendar is all on one sheet and that it’s aesthetically pleasing.

Oh goodness, I want to win. I would use this just like you. A family/work/life calendar. I need it desperately too as well. I tried to use the rafflecopter form but I don’t know if it worked!
Erin says
I love that it is the whole year on one page! I am forever needing to flip back and forth between months.

Melinda says
This would be awesome for school planning for my son! Love it.

I’m a huge fan of calendars – and even more so of big ones with lots of space for planning! Although I use google calendar and outlook a lot, I think nothing can beat a nice large wall calendar.

Like you, I love the sense of humor! If you love that, you should check out Carrot — it’s an iPhone productivity app with some serious attitude :)
Melissa says
I love that it’s dry erase! Very helpful since our plans constantly change and I have lots of crossed off things in my pocket planner, heh.
Kim_F says
I like the clean minimalism, AND I like that it’s a full year! I’ve been looking since December for a good dry-erase calendar to hang above my desk, but haven’t been able to commit the money to any one in particular. I think this one might be perfect. I love it! (And thanks for the chance!)
