I used to hate the idea of goals, resolutions, life lists, and all the iterations found both on and offline.
I was a Goal Grinch, I suppose.
Then, I came to the conclusion three years ago that goals are good:
I must choose how my life will play out, instead of merely being and letting whatever happens happens. A great deal of simply being is important, but if I want to live my ideal life – I make it happen. Me.
Here’s to summer!

I especially agree with the going outside every day and visiting the farmer’s market weekly. I can’t wait for ours to open in a few weeks!!!

Love this list, Ashley. Not only because you made a list, but because everything on here is totally doable (and will vastly improve your life this summer)! Though, I might amend my own list to say: Go outside every single day, unless it’s raining; then, you go right back to bed and curl up under the covers with your little G! =)

Great list! So I actually live very close to you (can tell by some pictures of your neighborhood that you’ve posted in the past). What farmer’s market do you go to and when is it open?? I’ve been to the one in Lock 3 a few times but it’s not very good.

Oh man, I totally need to make a summer to-do/bucket/whatever list. I am going to swipe some of your stuff (or, umm, all of it.) :-)
First: Sno-cone!

I love the chalkboard font – looks so neat! We’re planning to take Casey camping this summer too and I’m so excited for it. A sno cone sounds really good right now too… :)

Aw, what an adorable graphic! I love it! The list is fantastic, also. I love ALL of them, but I think the last one may be my favorite….even though I have major problems doing this myself. Maybe that’s why I like it the most? Anyhow, wonderful list!

I think you forgot to put “every single day” after “make cold press coffee” :)

I totally love the “unplug” every night and Sunday! I miss out on great stuff when I’m too attached to my technology. Thanks for the list–over from the Joy the Baker podcast!

Hi! I love your list—so glad I found you from the Joy the Baker!
However, I starting reading around on your blog and you are most certainly getting added to my Google reader!! Our similarities are shockingly similar! My husband and I have lived in four cities in the past four years, but last year we moved back within minutes of our family in Indiana! We’re vegetarian/veganish,
He was a Phd student, but quit to pursue his engineering career fulltime. I used to work fulltime, but am currently transitioning to part-time so that I can pursue my true passion: teaching yoga. I actually had an amazing interview for a part-time position at a school today! HA!
Only thing different is the baby, which is a few years down the road for me.
I look forward to reading more–I’m tickled!
Cheers,

I love your graphic for the bucket list! I wish I was ambitious as you are to unplug on a regular basis. I really should but…it’s hard! I commend you for your resolution :D Glad to have found you through this little hw assignment!
